Computer Science (B.S.)
To earn a degree in computer science, a student must have at least a 2.00 grade point average for all computer science courses (excluding CS16 and 17) and all other courses enrolled that satisfy major requirements.
A major must include:
- CS11 Introduction to Computer Science I
- CS12 Introduction to Computer Science II
- CS22 Discrete Structures for Computer Science
--or--
MTH28 Introduction to Discrete Mathematics
- CS25 Computer Organization
- CS30 Information Structures
- CS44 Computational Theory
- CS75 Seminar in Computer Science
--or--
CS85 Research in Computer Science
- MTH11 Analytic Geometry and Calculus I or (10 and 11S)
- MTH12 Analytic Geometry and Calculus II
- at least three more courses from the following, only one of which may be in Mathematics:
CS31, 32, 33, 34,
35, 36, 37, 38,
40, 41, 49,
75, 80, 85 or 95
or MTH34, 35, 37, 40 or 43
Computer Science-Mathematics (B.S.)
To graduate with a major in computer science-mathematics, a student must have at least a 2.00 grade point average for all computer science courses (excluding CS16) and mathematics courses enrolled (excluding MTH15, 16, 30, 31, 32, 33 and 55).
Majors must successfully complete:
- CS11 Introduction to Computer Science I
- CS12 Introduction to Computer Science II
- CS22 Discrete Structures for Computer Science
--or--
MTH28 Introduction to Discrete Mathematics
- CS30 Information Structures
- CS44 Computational Theory
- CS49 Introduction to Numerical Analysis
- MTH11 Analytic Geometry and Calculus I or (10 and 11S)
- MTH12 Analytic Geometry and Calculus II
- MTH13 Vectors and Matrices
- MTH21 Analytic Geometry and Calculus III
- MTH22 Differential Equations
- at least one of the following:
MTH28, 34, 37 or 40
Information Technology (B.S. or B.A.)
To graduate with an information technology major, a student must have at least a 2.00 grade point average for all computer science courses enrolled (excluding CS16 and 17) and at least a 2.00 grade point average.
A major must include:
- CS11 Introduction to Computer Science I
- CS12 Introduction to Computer Science II
- CS19 Introduction to Information Technology
- CS20 Morals, Law and Society in a Digital Age
- CS22 Discrete Structures for Computer Science
- CS25 Computer Organization
- CS75 Seminar in Computer Science
--or--
CS85 Research in Computer Science
- MTH11 Analytic Geometry and Calculus I or (10 and 11S)
- at least two more courses from the following: CS31, 35, 37, 38, 40 or 41
